DIY Easter wreath to hang with eucalyptus and pussy willow

S.Are you already in the Easter mood? As a child, Easter was always a highlight for me! The whole family gathered with my grandparents in the huge garden and we children were allowed to look for the hidden delicacies. Sometimes a candy was hanging in the bush and sometimes a chocolate Easter bunny stood behind a spring blossom. I have to say, I found Easter even more beautiful than Christmas. Especially when the sun was shining and you could enjoy the first spring-like temperatures. That’s why I look forward to the Easter decorations every year. Today I brought you a DIY Easter wreath to hang. This not only looks great on the front door, but also in the living room.

DIY EASTER WREATH TO HANG

In the Scandinavian style, the DIY Easter wreath comes with eucalyptus and pussy willow. Both look beautiful even when dried. In addition, he is pimped with a few Easter egg trailers. I think the plastic egg pendant is super great. These can be filled as required. To take up the colors of the wreath again, I also equipped them with eucalyptus & pussy willow. Normal white eggs, which can be painted as desired, provide variety. Either lavishly in black, white, gold as from this post or as simple as here in the pictures. Since my Easter decoration this year is more in natural tones, I opted for a simple heart and the words “Happy Easter”. To do this, simply line up small dots with a gold-colored gloss paint marker.

ACCESSORIES DIY EASTER WREATH TO HANG:

  • Metal ring
  • 1 bunch of eucalyptus
  • 3 – 4 branches pussy willow
  • Florist wire
  • Secateurs + normal scissors
  • 2 x Plastic egg pendant
  • 3 x Pendant egg
  • Gloss paint marker in gold
  • Decorative lacquer wire
  • Lace ribbon
  • 2 x Pendant feather

THAT’S HOW IT’S DONE:

  1. Cut the eucalyptus to the desired size and attach it to the metal ring in a semicircle using florist wire. I used 2 eucalyptus branches for this and bent them to the left and right from the lower center of the metal ring and attached them in 3 places.
  2. Beginning again from the lower center of the metal ring, bend two pussy willow branches to the left and right and secure in 3 places with florist wire. If there are still gaps, fill in with small branches of eucalyptus.
  3. Fit the plastic egg pendant with small eucalyptus branches and pussy willow and close it.
  4. If you like, you can paint or label the egg pendant in white with a glossy paint marker in gold. I have inscribed these filigree, with dots in the shape of a heart and with the words “Happy Easter”.
  5. Cut the lace ribbon and tie it to the top of the metal ring.
  6. Attach the decorative lacquer wire to the plastic eggs and the ribbon of the white egg pendant and tie it to the lace ribbon. Cut off the part of the ribbon of white eggs that is no longer required.
  7. When all the pendant eggs are attached at different heights, tie the 2 pendant springs to the top of the metal ring.
  8. Finally, depending on the desired length, attach another lace ribbon to hang on the metal ring.

SPRING FLOWER

A DIY Easter wreath isn’t that difficult, right? And I think he’s doing a lot on the terracotta-colored wall. I equipped the apothecary’s chest of drawers underneath with various spring flowers. So there is space for pearl hyacinths and normal hyacinths in different vessels. That can be a cup, vase or even an Easter basket. I lined the latter with some foil. Simply spread some soil on it and put the pearl hyacinths in it. With Rag moss cover. And of course don’t forget to water every now and then. When the onion flowers have faded, I dig them in in the garden and then enjoy the blooms outside next year. Under no circumstances cut off what has faded, as this is where the tuber draws its strength.
