Metal rings in a maritime look

S.For a long time I’ve been thinking about how to use the wall under the sloping ceiling in my bathroom as an eye-catcher. Before that there was a canvas picture, but I didn’t really like it. Now I have the optimal solution: metal rings with a maritime look! As if they were made for this corner. As soon as I attached it, I knew I would like it. And be honest, what fits better in the bathroom than a maritime decoration that you could almost have found on the beach ?!

I kept the decoration of the metal rings relatively simple. The highlight here are the lanterns! In summer these should only look pretty, but in winter they conjure up atmospheric light. Nothing stands in the way of a relaxing bath with romantic candlelight. A wooden bowl filled with sand, a potpourri of mussels, sea urchins and all sorts of other elements that are reminiscent of the last beach vacation complete the overall picture. Of course, other candle holders are also welcome to contribute to the feel-good atmosphere. I chose to sand in the candlesticks Small and Big decided. In their gray-blue they are reminiscent of the vastness of the sea.

ACCESSORIES METAL RINGS WITH A MARITIME LOOK (LARGE METAL RING):

  • Metal ring, 45 cm, gold
  • cord
  • Shell garland
  • 2 x Capiz discs
  • Lantern mosaic
  • Garland of minileaves

THAT’S HOW IT’S DONE:

  1. Thread the cord through the ring at the top of the metal ring and tie it to a hook or screw that is well attached to the wall.
  2. Also lead one end of the shell garland through the ring and pull through the shell chain. Roughly wrap this around one of the rings and clamp it between the rings. If you want to make sure that it is firmly in place, you can also attach it to the metal ring with hot glue.
  3. Place two capiz disks, slightly overlapping, on 2 – 3 struts of the metal ring. You can also attach these with hot glue.
  4. Place the tealight glass on the Capiz disks or attach it with hot glue if you like.
  5. Clamp the garland of Minileaves to the upper right third of the metal ring and let it hang loosely on the right edge.

Since I would like to reload my metal rings again and again as I wish, I did not use hot glue to attach the decorative elements. To make sure that everything holds firmly, however, gladly uses it.
